CSM United Kingdom launched a unique and innovative new website in September 2009, in response to customer research commissioned into the artisan bakery sector and how to boost the success of craft bakers. This highlighted bakers’ need for support with professional POS materials and as a result, www.mypersonalbakery.com was created.
The innovative website, enables bakers to produce bespoke point of sale materials that incorporate a wide range of high quality imagery and allows them to include their own messages and individual branding. The end result is quality printed Point-Of-Sale (POS) materials in a range of sizes from A1 to A5 that can be used to create eye catching posters, counter top displays and wall hanging designs; but more importantly at affordable costs. Using standard templates and existing professionally created images enables POS to be easily and simply created without incurring the high expenses of one-off design and print costs.
INCREASED VISITS TO THE WEBSITE
Following the launch of the www.mypersonalbakery.com website, several of the artisan bakers who have used www.mypersonalbakery.com to create their own bespoke (POS) signage, have reported success at the simplicity of creating materials and the positive response from their customers from the colourful instore displays.
Ian Thomson, owner of Thomson’s Bakery in Westerhope Bakery near Newcastle reported, “I appreciate the benefits of instore displays, but in the past the opportunity to create our own POS materials from existing computer based graphic packages has been very limited by available reference materials – until CSM launched www.mypersonalbakery.com !
Surprisingly enough, I found the website very easy to navigate in order to create posters, counter top displays and wall hanging designs in a range of sizes and the quality of the final printed items was far beyond my expectations.
Positioning the POS items as close to the promoted product as possible certainly did the trick, as we watched customers view the items and commit to purchasing.
These are certainly signs of success and I would recommend others to try the website , as we will be shortly planning another seasonal campaign.”
Andrew Hallett, the General Manager of Malcolm Barnecutt Bakery in Cornwall reported, “When CSM’s salesperson Cliff Grange demonstrated the innovative www.mypersonalbakery.com website I immediately decided to commit to trialing a very cost effective Silver POS package – super imposing our logo on posters and leaflets that incorporated quality photographic images of selected bakery items.
When it comes to in-store forms of advertising such as point-of-sale displays these can be a great thing especially for product-based businesses, but for a family run artisan bakery to obtain individual bespoke POS materials costs could be prohibitive.
The quality of the final POS material was excellent and strategically placed around the stores, they certainly looked good and appetising. Using window posters to attract passing trade and counter displays to influence customers in store, we can confirm that the displays did actually work and resulted in additional sales that we can attribute directly to the use of Point-Of-Sale.”
Sarah Vowden from Lanes Bakery in Burwell commented, “Being on a busy main high street we wanted to attract passing trade and as small family bakers, we decided to talk to CSM United Kingdom about www.mypersonalbakery.com.
As a result, we obtained high quality, full colour POS posters and displayed these in the window and on an external V-board to promote the sale of our very finest bread, rolls and cakes all freshly baked on the premises.
They had the desired effect, turned heads and diverted passing trade into our shop. It has been very successful and we will now look to updating these posters on a regular basis as it is very cost effective and successful”
CSM United Kingdom is very proud of what they have achieved in response to market influences and feedback from bakers and are continually looking to evolve the website www.mypersonalbakery.com. Visits to the website have been increasing and demonstrate how a wish list item of bakers has been turned into reality and how that in turn is benefitting baker’s businesses.
